About Sherpa

The team that runs your numbers.

Sixteen people. One playbook. Built around residential construction and the trades. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC. US-based, US-only.

Who we are

A firm built around the operator, not the accountant.

Sherpa was founded on a specific belief: that the best accounting and finance practice for a growing residential GC is one that has stood in the trailer, read the bid, walked the jobsite, and seen the cash come in late. The owners who hire us aren't shopping for a bookkeeper. They're shopping for an operating layer that can keep pace with the operation they've built.

Our senior managers have spent careers in construction-adjacent accounting. They speak WIP, AIA, retainage, lien waivers, milestone billing, and bonding-line readiness as a first language. They've stood next to surety brokers asking surface questions about the same financials they're now responsible for keeping clean.

We are not the biggest firm in the country. We are not trying to be. We are built around senior architects who own the relationship, with specialists who run the work behind them. That structure is on purpose: it means you are not dependent on any one person, and the person you talk to on the phone has the full picture of your business in front of them.

How we are built

Senior managers own the relationship. Specialists run the work. No single-person dependencies.

A senior Sherpa manager is the person you talk to. They own your account. They know the business. They run the playbook.

Behind them is a team of specialists: bookkeepers, controllers, tax preparers, fractional CFOs. The specialists do the work that requires their specialty. The senior manager is responsible for the relationship and the outcome.

This structure exists because of one rule we've built the firm around: an owner should never lose their accounting partner because one person took a job somewhere else. Continuity is the product. Knowledge is documented. The playbook is the playbook regardless of who is at any given desk.

The team

Sixteen people. One playbook.
